Queen Camilla has been turning heads with jewelry that whispers royal history during the four-day U.S. state visit with King Charles — each pin seemed chosen with purpose. Read on to discover the full story!
The royals landed near Washington, D.C., on April 27, and Camilla arrived wearing Queen Elizabeth's Union Jack and Stars and Stripes Brooch: a gem-set pin showing the U.K. and U.S. flags crossed together to signify the special relationship. The Cartier piece was reportedly given to the late Queen by the mayor of New York during Elizabeth's first U.S. state visit in 1957 and has rarely been seen since. Camilla kept the brooch on through an outfit change and wore it at the White House meeting with President Donald Trump and First Lady Melania Trump, as well as at a garden party at the British Ambassador's residence.
