In a surprising Washington move, President Donald Trump removed Roger Rogoff minutes after the newly sworn-in U.S. attorney for Western Washington took the oath in Seattle. Read on to discover the full story!

The swift removal

Rogoff, a former King County judge and veteran state and federal prosecutor, was unanimously appointed by the district's 17 federal judges and sworn in Wednesday morning in Seattle. His tenure lasted less than an hour, RadarOnline reports. He said the situation went awry after he requested a meeting with first assistant U.S. Attorney Charles Neil Floyd — who had served 120 days as interim U.S. attorney — and then received notice that he had been personally removed by the president.
