A catastrophic event unfolded along the western coast of Tenerife, a beautiful Canary Island, when a massive wave unexpectedly struck the natural pools at Los Gigantes, taking four lives and leaving another person missing. Eyewitnesses reported that the tourists were enjoying the stunning surroundings when disaster struck.

The incident occurred shortly after 4 PM, catching numerous visitors both on the rocks and in the water completely off guard. Reports indicate that several individuals were swept away by the powerful tide, which surged unexpectedly into the pools. Emergency services confirmed that among those affected were international tourists.

A search and rescue helicopter was able to recover one individual alive, but tragically, another person was found deceased. As investigations unfolded, it was revealed that two men and one woman lost their lives during this tragic event. One of the men was 35 years old, while the woman was 55. Later, a second woman who had been revived at the scene passed away after being transported to the hospital.
